Acleris emargana (Fabricius, 1775)

Wingspan: 22-26mm

A univoltine species flying in an extended season from the middle of July through to April when it is occasionally attracted to light but has been recorded only from the gorge broadleaved woodland at Las Descargues. It appears to breed here on birch.

Larvae feed on various trees and shrubs, Salix, Alnus, Corylus, Populus and Betula.
