Diarsia brunnea ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan: 36-45mm

Imago: Univoltine, flying from June to August, it is attracted to light and sugar and has been recorded from the Las Descargues traps and those situated in or adjacent to broadleaved woodland and woodland heath.

Larva: Polyphagous on herbaceous plants but also found on Betula, Salix, Rubus, Vaccinum. Overwinters as a small larva before pupating underground in early spring.
