Tinea semifulvella Haworth, 1828

Wingspan: 14-22mm

A common bivoltine species on the wing from May to early October when it comes readily to light and has been recorded from all sites, often abundant in bird's nests.

Larvae feed in bird's nests and occasionally on the wool of dead sheep with pupation taking place in the bird's nest.
