Aethes williana (Brahm, 1791)

Wingspan: 13-17mm

A bivoltine species this far south, on the wing from April to July and again from mid-August to early-September. Recorded infrequently at Las Descargues but is often encountered more often on the Causse. A species of unmanaged grassland and the dry, rocky pasture of the Causse.

Larvae feed on Daucus carota, Helichrysum, Eryngium etc.
