Ypsolopha vittella (Linnaeus, 1758)

Wingspan: 16-20mm

A univoltine species flying between July and late-September when it is an infrequent visitor to light. Recorded at Las Descargues and from the woodland and woodland margin traps of the gorge.

Larvae feed on the leaves and flowers of Fagus sylvatica, Ulmus spp. Pupation takes place in bark or on the ground amongst leaf litter.
