Batia lambdella (Donovan, 1793)

Wingspan: 15-17mm

A bivoltine species flying from June to September. It is attracted to light and has been frequently taken at the Las Descargues mv traps and those situated in or near the ridge woodland and heath. Impossible to confuse with the B. lunaris which is much smaller with a wingspan of between 7-11mm.

The larva feeds in dead stems of Ulex.
