Aphelia viburnana ([Denis & Schiffermuller], 1775)

Bilberry Tortrix

Wingspan: 15-22mm

A univoltine species flying from June to August when it is an occasional visitor to light. It has been recorded from the Las Descargues mv lights and those situated in the woodland heath of the ridge.

The larva is polyhagous and feeds in a leaf spinning on Vaccinium, Ericaceae, Myrica, Alisma, Sanguisorba, Artemisia, Viburnum, Abies etc.
