Odezia atrata (Linnaeus, 1758)

Chimney Sweeper
Le Ramoneur

Wingspan: 26-34mm

Imago: Univoltine flying from late May to the end of July. It is a rare visitor to light but is frequently seen flying during warm and sunny days along the ridge paths and on the Causse. a species of calcareous meadows and downland.

Larva: Feeds on Chaerophylum temulum, Polygonum bistorta, overwinters as an egg with pupation taking place underground.
