Trisateles emortualis ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Olive Crescent
L'Herminie olivâtre

Wingspan: 29-30mm

Imago: Univoltine, on the wing from June to September when it frequently visits light and has been recorded from all Las Descargues traps and those situated in or adjacent to mature, broadleaved woodland with oak, sweet chestnut and beech.

Larva: Feeds on Quercus, Fagus sylvatica, Castanea sativa before overwintering as a pupa in a cocoon in amongst plant detritus.
