Argyresthia goedartella (Linnaeus, 1758)

Wingspan: 10-13mm

Imago: Univoltine, flying from late May to the end of August when it can be found at light but also flying in bright sunshine. Recorded from Las Descargues and most commonly from the nearby birch woodland.

Larva: Overwinters in birch shoots or hard male catkins where feeding commences in spring with pupation taking place under the bark.
