Ennomos quercinaria (Hufnagel, 1767)
L'Ennomos du chêne
A bivoltine species flying from late May to the end of July and again from August to October. It is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all Las Descargues traps and those in or adjacent to woodland and scrub locally.
The larva are polyphagous on various trees and shrubs, Quercus, Fagus sylvatica, Betula, Salix, Populus, Carpinus and Corylus avellana. Pupation takes place in the spring among leaves of the foodplant after overwintering as an egg.
