Ypsolopha ustella (Clerck, 1759)

Wingspan: 15-20mm

A highly variable univoltine species on the wing throughout the winter from August to April. It is attracted to light but can also be tapped from vegetation in the colder months. It has been recorded from all oak-dominated woodland sites.

Larvae feed on oak Quercus spp. Pupates in a cocoon secreted in bark crevices.
