Brachylomia viminalis (Fabricius, 1776)

Minor Shoulder-knot

Wingspan: 28-34mm

Imago: A univoltine species flying from late May to August. An occasional visitor to light and sugar it has been recorded in all river valleys in the area but does appear each year at Las Descargues well above and riparian habitats.

Larva: Feeds on Salix and Aspen. Overwinters as an egg before pupating in leaf litter or just below the soil surface.
