Ypsolopha scabrella (Linnaeus, 1761)

Wingspan: 15-21mm

A univoltine species on the wing in July and August. It is attracted to light and has been recorded from all woodland sites.

Larvae feed on hawthorn Crataegus spp., apple Malus spp. and Cotoneaster spp. Pupation takes place in a cocoon amongst leaf litter beneath the foodplant.
