Pandemis corylana (Fabricius, 1794)

Chequered Fruit-tree Tortrix

Wingspan: 18-21mm

Imago: bivoltine - June-September. A frequent visitor to light throughout the summer it has been recorded from broadleaved woodland, woodland margins and occasionally from coniferous plantations.

Larva: feeds on various trees and shrubs including some fruit trees. Pupation takes place on the foodplant or on the ground.
