Denisia augustella (Hübner, 1796)

Wingspan: 9-12mm

The distribution of this species is incompletely known with very few records across Europe. It is univoltine and on the wing from April to July. Only two specimens have been recorded at Las Descargues both taken at light from mercury vapour traps, one in the garden on 17 May 2012 and the second from the margins of the ridge oak woodland in April 2007.

Larvae feed on various trees and shrubs.
