Xestia ditrapezium ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Triple-spotted Clay
Le Double trapéze

Wingspan: 39-46mm

Imago: univoltine - June-August. An occasional visitor to light and sugar, it has been recorded from all upland, woodland traps and is sometimes taken from the Las Descargues garden traps.

Larva: polyphagous on herbaceous plants, overwintering as a larva with pupation taking place on or just below ground.
