Agrotis cinerea ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Light Feathered Rustic
La Noctuelle cendrée

Wingspan: 28-37mm

Imago: univoltine - April-July. The male frequently visits light but the female appears to prefer sugar and visits light much less frequently than the male. Recorded from south-facing calcareous meadows at Las Descargues.

Larva: feeds on Thymus spp., and other low growing plants. Overwinters as larva with pupation taking place in spring.
