Cymatophorima diluta ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Oak Lutestring
La Diluée

Wingspan: 33-36mm

A univoltine species flying from August to late October. Despite being surrounded by its native habitat the moth is far from common at Las Descargues with never more than ten specimens each year. It is attracted to light, sugar and wine ropes.

Overwintering is in the egg stage. Larvae feed on Quercus species and pupation takes place between leaves on the foodplant.
