Euplagia quadripunctaria (Poda, 1761)

Wingspan: male 40-60mm female 45-60mm

Imago: univoltine - July to mid-September. A frequent visitor to light but is also encountered flying in the day on warm afternoons and feeding on Buddleia. Recorded from Las Descargues and the Causse sites.

Larvae: feed on various low-growing herbaceous plants before overwintering as small larvae.
