Plagodis dolabraria (Linnaeus, 1767)
La Phalène linéolée
A bivoltine species flying from May to August with individuals often found in early September. The species is attracted to light and has been recorded from all broadleaved woodland sites and any habitat where sufficient broadleaved species are found.
Larvae feed on various trees, Quercus, Betula, Ulmus, Tilia, Sorbus, Prunus, Lonicera etc., before overwintering as pupae on the ground.
