Agonopterix assimilella (Treitschke, 1832)

Wingspan: 8-10mm

A univoltine species on the wing from April to September when it occasionally visits the mv lights at Las Descargues although it is more abundant along the ridge woodland margins where broom flourishes. It has been recorded from a variety of habitats from woodland margins, heathland, scrub and hedgerows.

Larvae feed on Cytisus in spinnings between green stems.
