Xestia triangulum (Hufnagel, 1766)

Double Square-spot
La Noctuelle de la chélidoine

Wingspan: 34-40mm

A univoltine species on the wing from June to August when it is attracted to light. A scarce species at Las Descargues despite being associated with the predominant habitat in the area, woodland.

Larvae are polyphagous on herbaceous plants overwintering as larvae before pupating in spring underground.
