Acrobasis marmorea (Haworth, 1811)

Wingspan: 18-23mm

A univoltine species on the wing from May to the end of August when it is an occasional visitor to the lights at Las Descargues but yet to be recorded from the Causse. A species of scrub, woodland margins, heathland, and even the dry meadows of the Fournanty Plateau.

Larvae feed on Prunus spinosa and Crataegus spp. Pupation takes place in the web within a cocoon covered in leaf fragments and frass (Goater, 1986).
