Homoeosoma nebulella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan: 20-27mm

A bivoltine species on the wing from May to October when it occasionally visits the lights at Las Descargues and those traps on the Causse. A species of chalky or sandy habitats.

Larvae feed in the flowers and fruiting bodies of Senecio jacobaea, Cirsium vulgare, Carduus, Chrysanthemum etc. with pupation taking place in soil or in detritus beneath the foodplant.
