Ipimorpha retusa (Linnaeus, 1761)

Double Kidney
La Cosmie rétuse

Wingspan: 28-32mm

A univoltine species on the wing from June to August when it is a scarce visitor to the lights of Las Descargues, although it has been recorded more often from the poplar plantations of Ladirat.

Larvae feed on Populus, Salix etc., overwinters as an egg attached to the foodplant with pupation taking place underground.
